What to expect:

  • A warm and friendly atmosphere: We strive to create a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of background or beliefs.
  • A blend of modern and traditional worship: Our service incorporates contemporary music, prayer, Bible readings, and a sermon, all designed to connect with people of all ages.
  • Clear and engaging format: The service leader will guide you through each stage, explaining what's happening and encouraging participation as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
  • A service for everyone: Whether you're visiting the area, exploring faith, new to Christianity, or a seasoned believer, you're welcome here.

You may still have questions you’d like the answer to before attending. We’ve attempted to answer many of them here, but if you have any further questions, or just want to tell us you’re coming so we can look out for you, please contact us at info@richmondchurch.co.uk

We also meet to pray together on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm

Frequently Asked Questions

1. When and where should I arrive?

Our service starts at 10:45 am at the Richmond Church building. We encourage you to come early, as the building opens before the service and many people gather to socialize. Look for the "open" light in the window, the arrow and sign marking the main entrance.

2. Is there parking available?

Yes, there is street parking available in front of the church and on surrounding roads.

3. Accessibility:

  • Ramp with handrail from the street to the main door.
  • Wheelchair-accessible doorway.
  • Chairs instead of pews for easy maneuvering.
  • Accessible toilet on the main floor.
  • Loop system for hearing aid users in the main chapel.
  • Large-print service sheets available upon request.

4. Can I bring my children? Are there activities for them?

Absolutely! Children are an important part of our church family and are very welcome. We have fantastic activities lined up each week.

On All Together Sunday we all stay in church to hear Bible teaching for all ages.

On all the other Sundays:

  • For the little ones under 4 years old, we've got Toys4Tots happening in the Lounge. It's a safe, fun environment for them to play in, with plenty of toys. We ask parents to supervise their own children but we'll also have someone from church there to welcome you into the room where the service is also relayed.
  • Primary school children can head down to the Hall for Sunday Club for age-appropriate activities.
  • Secondary school students, we haven't forgotten about you! We have YoLG Bible Talk Sheets to help you follow what's happening in the main Bible Talk. YoLG sessions also take place fortnightly on Thursdays during term-time.

We follow a Safeguarding policy for all our activities with children and vulnerable adults and our leaders are easily identified by their orange lanyards, are all DBS checked, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience for the kids.

5. Do I need to be a Christian to come to church?

No, anyone is welcome to attend our services or events to learn more about Christianity. You won't be pressured to join the church or become a Christian, but you will hear about Jesus Christ and his teachings.

6. Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code. Come as you are!

7. Do I need to take part in the service or go upfront?

Feel free to participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. Communion is served in your seat for those who wish to participate.

8. Can I watch the service from home?

Yes. We Livestream the service on YouTube most weeks. See our Livestream page.
